Pressed Floral Keepsake

At Let Flowers Live, we have spent years watching in sadness, wedding flowers being tossed in the trash after an event. Thus began the dream of developing ways for flowers to live beyond the vase! Ordering a pressed flower keepsake is the primary way we implement our mantra of “Let Flowers Live”, but we have many more ideas in the works! Stay tuned through our social media and online journal for more info and tips on how to Let Flowers Live in your own life.

FAQs *

  • Customers can expect to invest between $400-$500 on standard, 11×14 or 16×20 framed pieces. Fill out our inquiry form to get a detailed pricing brochure to consider!

  • If you are local to Boise, we can set up a drop off to our studio. If you live out of state, please be prepared to invest $100-$200 on shipping through UPS.

If your flowers arrive moldy or damaged, you will have the choice of a refund or have us purchase new flowers at cost to replace the blooms that we could not use.

  • You can place your order 6 months in advance with the latest date being 3 days before your event.

  • Each project can take anywhere between 10-12 weeks from start to finish, with extended timelines for projects in peak wedding season.

Extensive care goes into pressing your flowers for 6-8 weeks in the press. From there, we have a design turn around of 1-2 weeks, with a 2 week framing process.

  • The process of pressing flowers both flattens the blooms and slowly dries them. Because of this, we can only press fresh flowers.

If your wedding or event has already happened, we can purchase the same flowers used at your event to recreate your arrangement.

  • While we do all we can to preserve their natural color, most blooms fade with time. For example, white flowers often fade to yellow.

We love the process of how flowers naturally change in the press, transforming them into something new! We encourage you to keep an open mind to how your flowers can change- still maintaining their beauty.

With the intention of preserving a natural look, we do not offer color correction to blooms at this time.

  • Most flowers can be pressed, but if you are unsure if your bouquet would be a good fit for a pressing preservation, you can always reach out with questions/pictures of the flowers that will be used in your arrangement.

  • With our hand crafted flower presses, we use a mixture of copy paper, blotting paper, cardboard, and chipboard to press your flowers.

For design, we use a variety of high quality, clear drying glue to adhere your blooms to either glass or handmade paper.

For presentation, we use wood frames and acrylic fronts. If you are local to Boise, you have the option of upgrading to a glass front.
